On November 14th, the 10th Jiangsu MPA Forum and the Jiangsu Normal University Graduate Forum on Public Administration were held at the Zhonghui International Conference Center in Xuzhou. Associate Professor Tang Wenxi, the director of the Department of Public Administration of the International School of Medicine and Business, and representatives of the MPA students of the school were invited to attend.
The opening ceremony of the forum was presided over by Hao Qihong, the dean of the School of Public Administration and Society of Jiangsu Normal University. Professor Liu Guangdeng, the deputy secretary of the Party Committee and vice president of Jiangsu Normal University, and Xie Jiahong, the director of the Secretariat Office of the National MPA Education Guidance Committee, delivered speeches. Professor Zhu Ganwei from Fudan University, Professor Li Junqing from Minzu University of China, and Professor Shi Xiaoping from Nanjing Agricultural University, representatives of the National MPA Education Steering Committee, delivered keynote speeches. Subsequently, Professor Huang Taozhen, the president of Jiangsu MPA Association and the dean of the School of Public Administration at Hohai University, presided over the awarding ceremony of the 20th anniversary essay competition of Jiangsu MPA and the winning papers of the 10th Jiangsu MPA Forum. Six students from the International School of Medicine and Business of our university, namely Hu Mengxue, Ren Yinan, Xing Qian, Wu Di, Ma Dongqing and Wang Xuwang, won the first, second and third prizes respectively.
The re-election conference of the organizing committee of this Jiangsu MPA Forum was presided over by Huang Xu, deputy Director of the First Organization Division of the Organization Department of the Provincial Committee. Vice President Xu Wei of the International School of Medicine and Business was elected as an advisor of the MPA Association, Director Tang Wenxi was elected as the deputy director of the MPA Forum Organizing Committee, MPA student Yang Qiang was elected as the deputy secretary-general of the MPA Forum Organizing Committee and vice chairman of the Association, and Wu Di was elected as the deputy secretary-general of the MPA Association. At the sub-forum, four students gave oral reports on their related academic research, and Associate Professor Tang Wenxi was invited as a guest commentator to offer comments.
