Faculty and Students Attend Launch Ceremony and Case Writing Seminar for 10th China Postgraduate Public Management Case Competition in Shenzhen

From November 14th to 17th, the Launch Ceremony and Case Writing Seminar for the 10th China Postgraduate Public Management Case Competition, hosted by the National MPA Education Steering Committee and organized by the School of Government Management of Shenzhen University, was successfully held in Shenzhen. A delegation of faculty and students from the Public Management program at our university participated in this academic event to gain insights into case development and competition experience.

The conference agenda featured the launch ceremony, multiple thematic reports, and field research sessions. Distinguished guests and participants engaged in in-depth discussions on topics including case writing standards, topic selection strategies, research methodologies, and the challenges confronting public management in the digital and intelligent era. Several award-winning faculty advisors and student representatives shared practical experiences, emphasizing that cases should be grounded in China's governance practices while integrating theoretical depth and practical relevance. Our university's delegation attentively listened to expert presentations, actively participated in exchanges, and systematically acquired knowledge regarding the competition's procedures and evaluation criteria, laying a solid foundation for subsequent preparations.

This seminar provided valuable insights for enhancing MPA case-based teaching and talent cultivation at our university. We will actively incorporate the advanced concepts and best practices from the conference into our teaching activities. By adopting a promoting learning through competition and applying knowledge through learning approach, we aim to strengthen the connection between case teaching and talent development, thereby supporting our students in demonstrating excellence and achieving outstanding results in the upcoming 10th competition.
